Ms. Silverman has a first hand understanding of the horse industry. As a serious dressage rider and a USDF Silver Medalist, Ms. Silverman has had much personal experience in buying, leasing and selling horses. She has owned and operated a personal horse farm in Ms. Silverman’s equine law practice focuses on documenting purchase and sale transactions as well as lease transactions to protect horse owners who are a party to these transactions as a buyer or seller or a lessor or lessee. Ms. Silverman also counsels equine facility operations in implementing boarding agreements, liability releases and the acquisition of appropriate liability insurance.
Ms. Silverman has had experience in structuring and implementing co-ownership investment or sponsorship type arrangements between professional trainers and an investor or sponsor. In serving her clients, Ms. Silverman commonly prepares the following:
